What a dinner!

Greg and Bonnye have vigorously explored Bangkok itself for a year already, so when they said lets go somewhere interesting for dinner, we said "yes!".
They are the expat's expat. Of course they know a few of the restauranteurs in town. The first one suggested a Morrocan place of his across town. We sat in its outdoor garden area under the stars sipping wine and eating olives. Bonnye said, "we had higher hopes for this place. Let's move on for dinner itself." She and Greg conferred and told the taxi driver a street with lots of nightlife. As we were walking along it looking at restaurants, Bonnye ran into another restaurant owner they knew. They talked. He said he had opened a new club "Clouds" just around the corner.
It was awesome! Filled with the happiest hippest crowd in Bangkok!
There were no tables available. Then, right out of the "Godfather", the manager came over, spoke with Bonnye and Greg, and had a table and chairs brought out for us!!
We got home just short of midnight. Life here doesn't need network tv.
