We took a river ferry through the city to the Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Bhudda. Totally beyond description.
Then we rode a tuk tuk(3-wheeled open taxi) to China town. For all the traffic there are no horns. Drivers cooperate to make a thrilling flow of weaving vehicles inches apart! The wonderfully kind Thai people are the same on the crowded sidewalks, in the markets--everyone cooperates so it flows. No one gets impatient. No one ran us over whenever we forgot traffic drives on the left.
In China town we walked through the covered markets to the Hong Kong Noodle House- that's us with Greg. The food here is soooo good!
We saw amazing fruits in the markets as well as a huge flower market. Note the truck unloading packaged flowers for use by folks who make arrangements.
Greg and Bonnye took us to a fabulous rooftop Thai bistro for dinner (forgot the camera).
Holy cow - great photos, you two! The place looks like it bursts with color and activity.
