This morning we pulled up the trailer shades to look out and a deer was looking in!
Then we went for a hike on the closed part of the "Going To The Sun Road". We were going to stay on the road, so somebody (not Joy) said we don't need to carry the bear spray. Who came out of the woods between us and the home side of the road? Clue-- Not the tasty looking bicyclist.
We rang our bell like crazy while we and the bicyclist repeated, "Go away bear! GO AWAY BEAR!"
First the bear started to cross the road, but then turned towards us and our bell. He started towards us and the interesting(?!!) ringing noise. At that point we both said, "Oh $#!%". Luckily he lost interest and went back into the woods. Whew!
